Jesu - Silver 12" (1 insert)

$18.00

These copies only have one of the 3 glossy inserts, but are otherwise new and complete.

Limited to 200 edition. The vinyl (180g w/2color labels), innersleeves (heavyweight highgloss board stock), and inserts (3 separate 4/5 color high gloss 12"x12") are from the initial 2007 press, the jackets are newly printed 5 color direct to board on recycled stock. We were shorted jackets from the first pressing and finally got around to making use of this vinyl we've had sitting around.

At some point—probably right around the release of the band’s self-titled full-length on Hydra Head in January 2005—Jesu mastermind Justin K. Broadrick’s impressive and storied musical past took a distant back seat to his future. His résumé may very well include the names of underground heavyweights like Napalm Death and Godflesh alongside revered avant/industrial pioneers Techno Animal and Ice, but after nearly two decades of diligent stereophonic thrill-seeking, Broadrick has found his true calling in Jesu. A shorter, more complex exploration of the chilling, dreamlike textures found on the aforementioned full- length, the Silver EP is an electro-psychedelic symphony born of the pastoral majesty found around Broadrick’s country home near the English/Welsh border. An icy-sweet combination of tidal guitar resonance and sweeping electronic atmosphere, the four epic tracks within comprise a panoramic snapshot of Broadrick’s stunning sonic prowess. Or, as our man himself puts it: “It’s perfect for drifting off and smoking too much dope.”
